Chatting with your documents (RAG)

An open-book exam: first it looks it up, then it answers.

Chatting with your documents (RAG)

When you upload a PDF and ask questions, the AI doesn't memorize the whole document. It finds the paragraphs related to your question and answers with those paragraphs in view.

In tech this is called RAG (retrieval-augmented generation). It's the basis of almost every company assistant that answers with internal information.

Try it today

Upload a long document to Claude or ChatGPT and ask: "Which dates or payments affect me? Give me the page for each."

Test yourself

What do you ask the AI so you can verify its answer?

  1. To answer faster
  2. To cite the page or paragraph
  3. To use emojis
See the answer

To cite the page or paragraph. With the page at hand, you check in seconds whether it's in the document.

If you lead a team

An internal assistant is only as good as its documents. If the policy is outdated, the AI answers outdated. Someone must own those documents.
